Healthy Steps is a therapeutic exercise and movement program, designed for individuals, that is safe and gentle. In order to help their mother with the side effects of breast cancer treatment, Sherry Lebed Davis and her physician/brothers Drs. Marc and Joel Lebed started Healthy Steps as a recovery program for her. They put together a set of exercises to help with lymphedema and added gentle dance moves to boost mood and energy. The results were not only positive but measurable. They went on to develop training and a certification program to share with others all around the world. This program uses safe and gentle exercises to boost energy and improve balance and well-being. Most of all the easy and enjoyable routines put to upbeat music are fun. Why Healthy Steps?

It is safe and effective for individuals experiencing health issues such as cancer, diabetes, knee and back pain, and/or recovering from a surgical procedure. The gentle exercises and dance moves help to improve balance and strength, which are important for accomplishing not only just the day-to-day routine activities of daily living but also help to maintain better health so that we can enjoy those things we love to do that make living worthwhile.
A unique component of the class is the social support which helps to keep you connected as well as motivated. There is time to talk, laugh, and even share jokes. Simple dance routines to upbeat music help keep stress and anxiety at a minimum.
